About Us

Castle Eaton is a small Wiltshire village located between Swindon and Cirencester, and home to the Red Lion, reputed to be the first pub on the River Thames.

Quiet for most of the year, the summer months see an increase in activity as the Royal International Air Tattoo takes place at nearby RAF Fairford in July.

Occasionally walkers can be seen making their way along the Thames Path that winds between the nearby towns of Cricklade and Lechlade.

The VCC decided at the 2010 AGM that we would continue to run the Barn Dance only, due to the large number of non-VCC fund raising activities in the village.

The Barn Dance will enable the VCC in it's reduced role, to ensure ongoing running and maintenance of the children's Play Park.

VCC AGM 2012

The VCC AGM was held on 10th December 2012 and the minutes of the meeting are available by clicking here. The VCC is looking for new committee members or helpers, so if you would like to support the village and the Play Park in particular, please come along and offer your help.
