About Us

Castle Eaton is a small Wiltshire village located between Swindon and Cirencester, and home to the Red Lion, reputed to be the first pub on the River Thames.

Quiet for most of the year, the summer months see an increase in activity as the Royal International Air Tattoo takes place at nearby RAF Fairford in July.

Occasionally walkers can be seen making their way along the Thames Path that winds between the nearby towns of Cricklade and Lechlade.

Website Security

We need to be mindful that some people visiting our website will very occasionally not share our ethos, aims and aspirations. To help protect ourselves the Local Administrator can offer advice as what information should be made available on the website and what should not to. Also, this website is running sophisticated network management software and all visitors are recorded individually and logged.

As a deterent to the 'low life' that collect email addresses from websites with a view to sending spam, we also suggest that personal email addresses are not published. If you have a business email, you may take a different view and decide otherwise. Data Protection is a subject that we are passionate about and will be happy to discuss with webpage authors the implications of publishing certain types of personal data on this website
